WHY WORK IN THE UAE

There are numerous reasons why one should come to the UAE. Here we highlight some of the most popular reasons why some elect to move to continue their career in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or one of the other Emirates of the UAE.

1. Tax Free.

If you live and work in the UAE you will be paid a gross salary. If buying a property here, you will not be subject to a property tax. For foreign business, there are 15 trade zones in Dubai, with more planned for the future. These zones allow foreign companies to set up office without incurring a corporation tax and the 51% company share restriction to UAE nationals. However the various zones need to be looked into for greater detail as some levy a 15 year, 50 year or 0 year tax exemption certificate, which can be renewed.

2. Climate

The UAE enjoys about 9 months of beautiful weather. The remaining months can be somewhat unbearable with daytime temperatures sometimes reaching 50 degrees C. However, with air conditioning you can hardly tell it’s an oven outside. Family life can be great as the typical working day at the large companies usually begins at 7.30am till about 4pm. This allows plenty of leisure time in the evenings.

3. Language of Projects

UAE is the popular place to do and attract business these days and it’s a bonus that the primary language of business is English so language is not a hindrance.

4. Career Progression

Struggling on the career ladder at home can be difficult with fierce competition from your neighbouring colleagues and promotions can seem like gold dust. However, holding the right credentials and qualifications can be the key to getting the promotion you have always dreamed about with a bonus of being in the sun. In some cases, the level or band you are currently at might be a step or two more in the UAE.

5. Property Market

The world’s most exciting property market has got to be the Middle East or more specifically - Dubai. More and more people are investing in property and with plans to create more areas of entertainment, business and leisure the temptation to invest in property to lease or sell is very exciting indeed.
