What is there to do in Umm al Quwain

• Although there isn’t that much to do in Umm al Quwain, there is one place which is almost as if it was from the Wild West – Lazimah – which is like a ghost town with old houses which is great because they haven’t been bulldozed down and replaced by skyscrapers. It makes a nice change.
• The other place you are likely to find interesting if you haven’t been to one before is the Dhow yard where you can watch the boats being created.

You are unlikely to find yourself in UAQ, and if you do you will likely stay somewhere else. There aren’t many high end hotels, but most of them including the Flamingo and the UAQ Beach resort are reputable.
