JBR The Walk

The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence opened in 2008 and is an ocean facing promenade of nearly 2 kilometres with around 300 stores, restaurants and cafes.  When it is not too hot, the Jumeirah Walk is a pleasant experience as apart from providing beautiful and refreshing views of the Arabian Sea it offers plenty of opportunities for splashing your cash as well.

The Jumeirah Beach Walk was initially designed to meet the needs of the residents of some 40 towers, the majority being residential apartments and a few hotels.  But it soon evolved to being a cool place to hangout and now houses some amazing outdoor shopping boutiques such as Saks Fifth Avenue, art galleries, sports shops, cultural artefacts as well as casual food and drink outlets to the chic world renowned chains such as Frankies, BiCE and Ruby Tuesdays.  All this choice with a location that feels like you are sitting on the Mediterranean is just the prefect setting for a relaxing evening.

Covent Garden Market , Dubai

The highlight of the The Walk at the Jumeirah Beach Residence is the Covent Garden Market. Not akin to the Covent Garden in London, but it does have some great stalls, and during the non Summer months it's a great place to come to sample the atmosphere. Great for kids, there are sometimes clowns, artists and a few stalls, so it's great to spend an evening or weekends. Originally for the residents at JBR, the Market now does draw a crowd and sometimes holding small festivals and themed functions.
