Can you Smoke in the UAE?

There has been a large move to try and get the UAE to cut down on smoking, but it is prevalent across society. Blanket bans have been tried and have failed, but it appears as if is part of society, so people do smoke in the malls and sometimes in restaurants. And, of course, there are the shisha bars.  You won’t be able to escape the sweet smells of the hubble bubble in the evening. For those of you trying to give up, try willpower, it's the best way - and will add years to your life. Any form of substance dependence can be difficult to stop, but it is not impossible, as many cigarette smokers and drug abusers have successfully quit before.
