Yas Island -This is a new leisure development complex, about one third the size of Abu Dhabi island. The focal point of Yas Island will be the Ferrari World theme park and a Formula One race track with the first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race commencing in 2009. Additional plans are to build a Warner Bros theme park, a water park, golf courses, polo clubs, marinas, hotels, apartments and a retail complex. The Yas Island project is due for completion in 2014.
