Kandura - This is the common UAE term to describe the male national dress. It can also be called dishdasha in the rest of the middle east. Normally made of cotton, it looks like an extended shirt, with or without buttons, pressed to perfection. The outfit is made complete with the Guthra. Additional accessories for the male dress are explained in detail in the Culture – UAE Clothing section.
Karama - Karama is on oldpart of Dubai known for cheap products, but more so for its market and sale of fake goods. And although this is what Karama is known for, it is also home to many of the South Asian community, some of whom share small living space even with the most reasonable rents in Dubai.
Khaleej Times - An English language newspaper available throughout the UAE daily. An appointments section is included and the newspaper is available online.
Khor Fakkan - Khor Fakkan is located in Fujairah on the east coast of UAE, but is considered part of Sharjah. It is a relatively out of the way tourist spot that can be another world from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. With snorkeling of coral available, this isolated spot has become rather popularspot for enthusiastic divers and is home to the Seven Seas Diving centre. Stay at the Oceanic, which although dated is the best hotel out there. Khorfakkan is very quiet and peaceful when compared with Dubai and Abu Dhabi, yet it has all the necessary amenities of restaurants and souks to keep a visitor occupied for a couple of days.
