GCC National - GCC is anyone who has citizenship of one of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) states which are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Gazette - The UAE Official Gazette is a reporting of the official laws that come from decrees set out by the Cabinet. The gazette is in Arabic and comes out monthly. All laws and amendments to laws will be issued in there, and so it is worth keeping in touch via your lawyer in the UAE as to what is happening.
Gold Souk - Dubai is known as the city of gold, and one need only look at the gold souk to realize why. It’s one of things you must do on a visit, and indeed, some bases their whole holidays around buying jewellery here which, although not the cheapest in the world, present very good value and quality. Visiting the souk is an amazing experience – walking down the golden lined alleys is something that can not be emulated, even if you are not interested in buying!
Gulf News - An English language newspaper available throughout the UAE. An appointments section is published 5 days a week. The newspaper is available online.
Gutra - (or guthra) This is the headscarf used by males when wearing the traditional UAE dress, Kandura. Historically, the type of colour (either red or black checks or plain white) was determined by which Bedouin tribe one belonged to. Nowadays, it’s based on personal choice or what’s in fashion.
