Thai Food in Dubai

The Best Thai Restaurants in Dubai

High End:

Pai Thai $$$
Al Qasr Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah, +971 4 366 6730

Set in the scenic grounds of the colossal Madinat Jumeirah Resort, Pai Thai is the perfect setting for a romantic meal for two or a cosy get together with friends. Its ideal sitting outside when the weather is just right i.e. Oct – May and spot all the abras making their way round the resort. If you love thai, you will be blown away by the food here. The meats are melt in the mouth and flavours are full of depth. We loved the prawn curry and chicken satays. Portions are generous so you don't need to over order if you are a couple. Service is good but lacks a bit during the busy weekend periods. We didn't mind as we had the view to keep us occupied. To finish off the evening, unwind with a drink and watch the entertaining thai dancers complement your presence at their fine restaurant.

Mid Range:

Benjarong $$-$$$
Dusit Thani Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, +971 4 343 3333

Located in the famous branded Thai hotel, Dusit, Benjarong has an example to set and it does well.  The interior is themed as authentic thai, so it's all about carved dark wood furniture and may not appeal to all.  Service is helpful but not overpowering and staff are happy to recommend the popular dishes.  The curries come highly recommended here and we sampled the Thai Red Curry with Duck and the Maine Lobster, both a thumbs up.  Portions are a good size so no need to over order unless you like doggy bags!

Budget:

Lemongrass $-$$,Unlicensed
Oud Mehta (Near Lamcy Plaza) Dubai, +971 4 334 2325

A combination of good food, great interiors and friendly staff makes this place a favourite of ours.  When we think thai curry craving, this is the place to come and not have to pay sky high prices.  Lemongrass is always busy so makesure you book especially for the weekend.  The menu incorporates all of the classic thai favourites and more with a good selection of seafood offerings too.  Beware not to over mark the spicing levels as they will come hot. The Penang Curry comes highly recommended from us!  Lemongrass also has several branches in the malls known as Lemongrass Express at the Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai Mall and Mirdif City Centre.

Grapeshisha choice:

Thai Kitchen $$$
Park Hyatt Dubai, +971 4 317 2222

With the ever expansion of Dubai, going to Deira for dinner might now seem odd to many, but only a few years ago Deira and Bur Dubai were the downtown top areas to visit before the Palm, Jumeirah and DIFC came to the scene. We love the Park Hyatt, with its beautiful views of the creek and yachts, whilst still being in the centre of Dubai and the real hustle and bustle. Thai Kitchen is one those places that you can head to when you really crave a wicked Thai meal and not have to burn a hole in your wallet. Sit indoors and admire the entertaining chefs put on a show at one of their numerous cooking stands or enjoy the peaceful creek outside for extra romance. Food satisfies the palate with their traditional curry based dishes. Also, opt to try their mini dishes so you can sample a bigger array with minimal waste.
