 LIFE IN DUBAI
DUBAI PROSTITUTES

We have a huge amount of queries about this age old topic. There is no surprise that this profession which dates back thousands of years is existent all over the world. And there is no surprise that prostitution exists in Dubai. You need only open your eyes to see it going on. You should bear in mind that that sex outside of marriage is a criminal offence. This includes couples that live together. (and so technically you could be sent to jail for numbers of years, if you are not married) And in a society that explicitly bans anything of such nature, prostitution becomes rife. Ban a kid from having candy, and that’s all they will want to eat. You get my gist. So, our advice here is that having anything to do with prostitution and the like carries some significant risk, both legally and otherwise. The assessment of that risk, and the decision to participate in any particular activity is a personal one which all adults make.

Whether or not you think this a serious offence, the BBC reported: “A total of 170 prostitutes and 12 pimps, mostly from China, were arrested along with 65 clients of various nationalities, local press said. The police chief said such raids were a frequent occurrence but were not usually announced to the media. In March, UAE police announced they had deported about 4,300 prostitutes from Dubai during 2006.” Trawling through the Internet, we have found out that these are bars and hotels that prostitutes frequent. That doesn’t mean you won’t find them elsewhere, but these places appear to have a reputation for prostitutes in some way. Bear that in mind if you are visiting Dubai with kids and family.
