BUSINESS IN DUBAI

I need to get a UAE National to sponsor me for a business. What are my options?
You basically have 3 options if you don't wish to operate in the free zones. Have the UAE National become a shareholder, with a percentage of paid up capital; incorporate a company under the UAE National's name; or ask him to become a local service agent, whereby you will pay an annual fee only.
I want to change the Local Partner in my LLC. What should I do?
LLCs require a local partner holding at least 51% of the capital of the company. You will need to find another UAE National to transfer the shares to, assuming your original sponsor has agree. The article of association of the company needs to be signed before the UAE notary public and then get in contact with the Economic and Economic Planning Governmental Bodies, for
incorporation.
I am currently starting up in Dubai Media City, and have just found about Emiratisation, how many Nationals do I have to employ?
Currently, from what we know, freezone companies are exempt from Emiratisation legislation.
Where can I get up to date business information about news in Dubai and the UAE?
If you check within our News Resources, that would be a great start. AMEInfo is one of the better resources you could use. They also have a good alerts system that you could sign up to.
I am looking for a company based in Abu Dhabi. What is the best way to find out their details?
The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry should be your first point of call. There are a large number of companies listed there online.
