Sowwah, the link between Abu Dhabi and Reem
A new addition to Abu Dhabi’s central business district will be Sowwah Island, located between Abu Dhabi city and Reem Island. Sowwah Island will be home to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and a host of other financially related businesses. Plans for five star hotels and a waterfront retail development are also underway. Sowwah Island along with several other newly developed districts will eventually be connected to Abu Dhabi city via metro rail network and bus and tram links in line with Plan Abu Dhabi 2030.
