As mentioned in our list for best Italian restaurants, Frankie’s is a great family restaurant and kids will be entertained too. Depending on how busy the restaurant is, the waiters will allow them to sit near the chef cooking area and observe how to make pizzas and even let them create their own ones. Special kids portioned food available on request on certain dishes. As per Fairmont’s website: Children under the age of 12 are offered 50% discount on all menu items. Children under the age of five eat for free.

As mentioned in our Grapeshisha choice for European cuisine, we highly recommend this eatery for young kids. The restaurant itself is bright and trendy with comfortable seating. The menu has a good variety of kids favourites such as hotdogs, nuggets and cheeseburgers with fries or pasta and macaroni cheese. Sundaes, crepes and banana splits for afters – yum!

Sit on beanbags or chairs, you take your pick. Kids will love this Italian restaurant, set in the trendy Aloft Hotel and parents will love the non – standard fast food type menu. The décor is bright and colourful and the staff are great with kids. Portions are quite generous you can probably get away with ordering a dish between you and your child. This is a great place to hangout on with the kids when it is too hot outside.

We’ve given this place a mention in our Pan Asian section and just had to underline again how great it is for kids too. Food arrives in a flash with fun kiddy chopsticks, and there is a good choice of noodles and rice dishes especially created for kids. Enquire about special offers as they do a deal from time to time where kid’s meals are free when ordered with an adult main.

Stars n Bars is for kids with a short attention span when it comes to food. It’s a concept brought over from Monaco and is one of those themed Hard Rock Café style hangouts serving the foods you shouldn’t really eat on a regular basis. Still, with kids in tow, it could be your answer to a couple of hours peace whilst they eat and run to the arcade games area whilst you devour your burger and catch the latest sports on their numerous plasma screens. Good value for money, fun and bright décor, lively atmosphere and great views of the Yas Marina.
