There are 2 Havana Cafes, one by Marina Mall – but the place that the locals prefer is Havana Café on Hamdan Street. Opposite Al Noor Hospital, this café is the place to go and people watch the youngsters of Abu Dhabi.  They have some fantastic desserts – this place is perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hamdan street, check your email and get your breath back, by aircon.

With the endless greasy spoons and fast food joints in the city, it’s a sigh of relief there are a handful of cafes recently opened to satisfy all you health conscious foodies.  The menu here is all about fresh food served as sandwiches, pizzas, soups and salads.  Rumour has it that this place cooks with organic produce, however not all ingredients are organic, but they do have a mini supermarket above the café selling organic produce.  If you are strict about getting your 5- a- day, you will love this eatery, It is a bit pricey for a mall café.

Jones is good wholesome deli, gourmet food. The concept comes from Australia and you can tell from the relaxed communal wooden tables and airy dining room.  The quality is great and refreshing to taste fresh flavours rather then standard greasy food which can be so common in UAE. That said service can be variable.  This is one of the few independent restaurants that has an alcohol license.
