This is the only firm Vietnamese restaurant in Abu Dhabi serving the finest South East Asian food in beautiful surroundings. If you want a long romantic meal or are dining with the family, this is a great choice. The interior of the restaurant is vibrant and comfy and the staff attentive. The food really is perfection, you may be paying a whole lot more then your average restaurant in Abu Dhabi, but this place is class and reserved for those special occasions.
Mid Range:
Noodle Box $$$
Yas Hotel, Yas Island, +971 2 656 0600
Set in the futuristic Yas Hotel, this hip and trendy Asian fusion restaurant draws in a chic crowd who love contemporary Asian food in cool surroundings. If you love your nasai goreng, Thai curries and dim sum you’ll enjoy eating here. Service is great and not overpowering which can be the case in some 5 star restaurants.
Budget:
Noodle House $
Al Wahda Mall +971 2 4437391
Souk, Qaryat Al Beri. +971 2 5581699
Supreme efficiency from start to finish – this clever eatery is as clean cut in appearance as it is in its service and effectiveness. Pick your choice on paper menus and food appears in a flash. Not the place for a long romantic meal, but for a fun and Asian craving trip – it so hits the mark. Great on the purse too and they do free home delivery to your hotel as well! Unlicensed
Jing Asian $
Crowne Plaza, Yas Island, +971 2 656 3000
Jing is an all day dining restaurant, but don’t let that put you off as they serve both buffet and a la carte. Their cuisine is a mix of Thai, Japanese, Malaysian and Indonesian and the quality of food and portions are fantastic for the price they charge. The restaurant is airy and the décor is trendy bamboo furniture. Perfect budget eatery after a tour of the grand prix circuit or theme park.
Grapeshisha choice:
Royal Orchid $$
Hilton Abu Dhabi, +971 2 681 1900
Salaam Street (opposite Union National Bank) +971 2 677 9911 Unlicensed
Great food, value and service. This is our favourite for an all rounder and an institution in Abu Dhabi. Both venues provide the same level of good food, however Salaam Street wins on slightly better service but it doesn’t serve alcohol. The crowd at the Hilton pull in many business travellers whereas the Salaam street branch is quieter with more expats and even locals. We love the food here. Dim sum and pineapple rice - YUM!
