Live music in Abu Dhabi
Live bands are very popular in Abu Dhabi, however we have found many venues are below par or just put plainly a big pain in the head. The few listed below are our favourites if you love listening to live cover versions of some old school classics.
Jazz Bar

Open: 7pm – 1am.
Always a popular choice if you love jazz and live music. Many bands and singers frequent this venue and belt out numbers from popular mainstream artists such as Bob Marley, Aretha Franklin and many more. Not many places can pride themselves on good entertainment AND food – this one does, so book early for dinner and stay late into the night.
Sax

Open: 7pm- 4am.
As well as hosting regular themed nights, Sax has regular helpings of live music most of the week kicking off in the evening. It’s late into the night when the resident DJ takes over to turn the chic restaurant/bar into a clubby atmosphere.
Chamas Bar

Open 7pm to 1am
This huge two storey venue is perfect if you like carnival atmosphere. The ground floor houses the new Brazilian restaurant and first floor lives the bar. Sip super cocktails amongst the jive of the Brazilian live band and the sway to the samba beats.
