The Restaurants that we like
We have put together a selection of the restaurants that we would recommend in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Of course, there are hundreds of restaurants and genres to try from German to Iranian, Spanish to Turkish. It's all about what you prefer. A few of our recommendations are listed below:
Dubai Recommendations
Arabic: Al Nafoorah, Fakhreldine, Awtar, Al Khayma, Amaseena
International: Pierchic, Mezzanine, Verre
Far Eastern: Zheng He's, Pai Thai, Segreto, Peppercrab, Sukothai, Buddha Bar
Indian: Mumtaz Mahal, Asha's, Handi, Ashiana
Italian: Segreto, Medzo, Bussola, Carnevale
If you have the Money: Al Mahara at the Burj Al Arab gives you the best seafood in the world - and you need to get thee via submarine.
If you are on holiday in Dubai we would recommend you at least dine once at one of the restaurants at the Madinat Jumeirah. There is so much choice in Dubai, that it really depends on what you are looking for. In addition to the resources above, most top hotels provide you with Visitor Magazine and Concierge Dubai which both provide excellent recommendations for
restaurants as well as What's On magazine.
Abu Dhabi Recommendations
Arabic: Maroush, Lebanese Flower, Layali Zamaan, Shamyat
International: Al Fanar, the rotating restaurant, Flavours for their seafood buffet, Finz, a great seafood restaurant, Vasco's
Far Eastern: Royal Orchid Salaam Street, Bambu (the buffet), Shanghai Surprise, The Wok, Zen, Benihana
Indian: Foodlands, Nihal, Indian Palace, Zari Zardozi, Maharaja
Italian: Bice, La Mamma, for service with a smile, Prego's, Mezzaluna
If you have the Money: Sayad at the Emirates Palace is for those with proper bling
If you are on holiday in Abu Dhabi we would recommend trying one of the
restaurants in the Emirates Palace with Mezzaluna being the most reasonable option, Vasco's, if it is not too hot outside, one of the Arabic restaurants, perhaps Layali Zamaan, where you can smoke some shisha into the evening.
