The UAE has got heaps to do in terms of entertainment. The Cinemas show most of the films, although a small few are banned, and some are edited for questionable content, but in the main, the cinemas are plentiful all over Dubai, and there are a wide range of cinemas to go to.
The bigger music artists are starting to take note of Dubai, and are including it as the first leg of a "European Tour". Recent artists include Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys and Destiny's Child. The only downside to Dubai is the lack of theatre, with only a select amount being of shows coming to Dubai for a fixed period of time. Although in time to come, it is hoped that the Bawadi complex will provide some much needed arts culture for the growing population. Abu Dhabi seems to miss out on much of the hype, but it is only a short drive down for them, and with rumoured museums being built including the
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi it looks like there will be a good balance over the coming years.

Cinema
The Cinema has a good mix of English, Arabic, Hindi, Iranian and other films on offer in large multiscreen complexes. Just be aware that the the English language films' life in the cinema is relatively shortlived due to the competition of spots from the other langages. All non Arabic films usually apear with Arabic subtitles.
